NOTE TO POTENTIAL TENDERERS

Coordinated Contracting

Without limiting its rights not to proceed to finalisation of a tender on public interest grounds, potential suppliers should note the Commonwealth's Coordinated Procurement Policy for the delivery of certain goods and services to Commonwealth departments and agencies, where it can be established that the coordinated procurement of those goods and services could deliver savings to the Commonwealth.

The process of identifying such goods and services is currently underway. It is therefore possible that the Commonwealth may approve the procurement of some or all of the same goods or services to the Commonwealth under a coordinated process, as are or have been advertised on this internet page. If this occurs:

  1. before the submission period for this RFT ends, the department reserves the right to discontinue the RFT process; or
  2. after the submission period ends but before a contract is signed with the successful tenderer(s), the department reserves the right to discontinue the tender process and not proceed to enter any contract as a result of this RFT; or
  3. during the period of any contract entered into as a result of the RFT, the department may exercise its right under the draft contract to terminate any such contract for convenience, without compensation for loss of potential profits.

This policy is being managed by the Contracts Co-ordination Branch in the Department of Finance and Deregulation ('Finance').
