The Australian population
This section contains revised Statistical Local Area (SLA) Population projections, 2006 census-based, by sex and age for all states and territories.This section also provides you with a summary of aged care statistics of the special need groups: people from non-English speaking backgrounds and Indigenous Australians. There is also a concordance file, which will enable you to compare populations by region and area.
