Eye Health Program

In recognition of the importance of eye health to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people OATSIH funded the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Eye Health Program in 1998.

Hearing Health

A Workplan for Future Action in Ear and Hearing Health was jointly developed by OATSIH and the Department's Office of Hearing Services (OHS) in 2003.

Petrol Sniffing Prevention Program

The Petrol Sniffing Prevention Program provides a range of strategies to address petrol sniffing in Indigenous communities.

The Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH) has administered the Petrol Sniffing Prevention Program, formerly the COMGAS scheme, since 1998.

Primary Health Care Access Program

The Primary Health Care Access Program (PHCAP) provides funding for the expansion of comprehensive primary health care services in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through clinical care, illness prevention and early intervention activities and management support systems.

The Social and Emotional Well Being 2004-2009 framework is a five year plan to guide improvements in the mental health and social and emotional well being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
